Should I accept a rushed lunch date before his flight or wait a week?

Question

My first date lives far from me basically in the neighboring city, but it’s a solvable distance if we both try.

On my day off , my part time job is closer to the border of our cities and we met each other around there on our first date…

On the second date he has a flight that same day when I work near his city, and he told me that it’s difficult for him to find flights suitable for when we could have a dinner together, so either we reschedule it to the next week or we meet for each other for lunch before his flight.

I wasn’t delighted about this and told him that when you want to do something you make it work. He then said “Then let’s meet for lunch… Or do you work somewhere near that place on Sunday evening so that we could meet on Sunday after your work?”

I think relationships are about give and take, it doesn't mean you are not being true to your principles or boundaries. So it's about being flexible and it's a matter of whether or not you want a relationship with this person or are you looking for an excuse so that it doesn't workout. A date is a date, whether it's lunch or dinner, you're not going to be entertained to fullest all the time because life can get in the way. I know that if I were in your situation I'd gladly say yes especially if I really like the person.

I don't ask this to be argumentative, why wouldn't you accept? You seem to want to get together. I can imagine a bunch or good and not so good reasons but the only one that matters is yours.

Of course she doesn't want to put in the work. She expects him in her arrogance to do all of the work and to please her as much as she wants to be pleased. This is the essence of entitlement. It is the sort of thing that causes men to eventually just give up on dating.

It basically depends on how much you want to meet him. It doesn't matter how much time you both spend together, what matters is that you both enjoy whatever time you get together.
