Are my friends ignoring my posts out of jealousy about my lifestyle?

I said on my social media profile that people in my circle treated me to $800.00 dinners, and that my boyfriend had a 50,000 word vocabulary and worked as a computer CEO before leaving his job in his 20s to live on investment income. I have not had a single reply to my facebook post in weeks.

Why do you do social media?

It is always to compare. People become jealous or try to adapt and copy.

Social media is not good at all.
I don't have social media and I don't post what I eat, do or when I go to the restroom. I call it unsocial media.

I want my privacy.

That is such paradox.

People complain about their privacy on social media while they post photos of their home, their life, their holidays.

That makes no sense.

People complain about manipulation through media but give all those datas for free that makes this kind of manipulation possible.

I don't think they're jealous of you. They probably think you're showing off. Everyone's busy with their own lives. Why would you think they're jealous just because they didn't reply to your facebook post?

Perhaps they’re jealous and envious. That’s very likely, however, how did you present this information to your friends? Did it possibly come across as being arrogant or boasting? You know there’s an old saying that says “your friends and family never want to see you fail, however, they sure don’t want to see you shoot past them on the ladder either” that’s just human nature as somebody I think has pointed out to you already.
