Is he still interested after a great first date and then going silent?

I met this guy on a dating app about 3 weeks ago. I sent out the like first. We matched the next day and we started talking right away. He came in very strong and looked very interested. He would reply fast, flirt, make conversation, asked me for my instagram, we started talking on instagram. We couldn’t meet in person until after almost 3 weeks of matching, but he asked me out right away and we talked everyday right before the date. After the first week I noticed he was different, he was less chatty and a little cold, he would always say good morning but would barely make conversation. But on some days he would be very chatty and flirty. It was confusing so I tried matching his energy until the date happened. The date I thought went amazing, I had a great time, I really enjoyed it, we laughed, flirted, talked for like 4 hours, he made comments about being excited to meet my dog, being excited about going out for drinks with me, he said that he was going to teach me how to drive his car. The date ended, I thanked him for the dinner and told him it was nice, we said goodbye, and then he never texted. At first he told me he was really big into chivalry so I really thought he was going to send me a message like “let me know when you get home” or something. But he never reached out, and I didn’t either bc I felt he was loosing interest even before the date. 3 days passed after the date and he still hasn’t said anything, even after talking every single day for like 3 weeks, after the date the chat went silent. Do you think he is interested? Should I just unmatch/unfollow and move on?

If you don’t intend on reaching out yourself to find out, then it’s best to move on. This question just becomes circular otherwise because for as much as he could text you, you could do the same. For any “why isn’t he doing this”, the question could be asked of you as well. In your case you know you’re reluctant to reach out because he was already switching up before the date, and in all honesty given that context, combined with not talking several days, I feel like this question is already answered. But if you’d like the closure or clarity then you’re just as able to say something as he is.

It sounds like he isn't as interested. He probably has been talking to other girls while talking to you.
