Very very specific to the woman and the weather. I've taken women on 30 mile offshore charters that lasted 8 hours. Some puked their guts out and some had a blast. My advice? Start small. 4 hours max. Lunch at a nice place on the water. See how she likes it. Adjust accordingly.

Why don’t you want her to know? Anyways if it’s something you both enjoy then it’s a good idea and it’s good to find someone who has similar hobbies as well. So if you both like fishing it’s a good idea communication is key. Don’t just surprise her with it. Even if she’s not crazy about it id she agrees to go amazing and let her pick something.

Certain women yes if you see clear signs someone’s with you for the money and the lack of a real connection or it seems like she’s just playing whatever she thinks you want it’s an issue.

A lot of dudes would be genuinely surprised how different a relationship is when the woman genuinely wants him and what a woman would do for him.

I personally would not like it though because I am against killing animals for pleasure and fishing is exactly that. If at least you would consume the catch of the day but I guess that would not be the case. Releasing the fish is not a good alternative because those hooks can tear an entire jaw and the fish would die in suffering.

Why not just go for a coffee during daylight and in a safe place where there are a lot of people around to give your date a feeling of security?

I do eat what I catch. It's actually why I don't like to go to a lake/shore. I know they're stocked but... Do I really KNOW haha. Also the fish I actually eat are all about 30 minutes plus off shore.

I'll definitely keep what you said in mind about throwing them back. I didn't know but it makes sense.

At least on a boat you can get some clues if there's a lot of fish or less than usual to avoid overfishing...

I'm not as much a hippie about animals as I am for other things lol but that sounds like an easy enough way to be responsible.

It depends entirely on the girl. Several of my dates with my wife have been fishing. But she loves fishing. A lot of women dont. Hell some of them would probably look down on you for taking her fishing. But again it depends on the girl, and if fishing is something she enjoys.

Absolutely not. If she doesn't like fishing it's a red flag. My wife is better at it than me, and I caught my first fish ever, fishing with her dad.
