I agree for the most part.

Guys are pretty straight forward and communicate directly. A guy will just tell a girl, hey I think you're attractive and great to talk to, wanna grab dinner and drinks Saturday? Basically, you interested or not? If not, cool. We don't need to know why. It is your right to choose for any reason or no reason. I know that's not true for every guy. But it is for guys with a normal healthy personality.

Almost all women are exclusively indirect communicators. Meaning women are never taking a risk and putting themselves out there. Men are left to interpret what may be vague, subtle, or even cryptic hints and then read her mind. But get it wrong, and the response could range from polite rejection, to cold rejection to, snide insults, to accusal of assault and trashing of his reputation. So a lot of guys just say fuck it, not worth the drama of playing mind reader with a complete unknown.

Part of the problem is that guys are used to rejection. It's not that big a deal for most of us. We've been there hundreds of times. The world never ends. It's out of our mind in 5 minutes. Women on the other hand do not handle rejection well. And they may obsess about it for days with lots of emotional drama and dredging up of insecurities.
