Is my ex’s ‘wrong number’ text actually an excuse to contact me again?

I haven't spoken to her or hung out in like 6 months since October 2025 last time we hung out before that was nov 3 2024. Today i received a “Wrong number text” from her, so she was texting her job asking things about her job. Only thing is last time we met up i knew she got a company phone so her texting me things asking about her job seems weird to me.

So i saw her number and recognized it even tho i had deleted her contact info. We ended on pretty bad terms so i dont think she still had me saved under contacts, did she accidently message me or is she trying to reach out to me?

Nobody can screw up a phone number that much.

Thats what i was thinking because i deleted her contact and text from my number, but still recognized her number. What she was texting me looked like things she would send her supervisor from her work phone.

Only thing i can think of was that i had told her i liked replying dumb things to things from unknown numbers that i would always get to my number

It might be. Or she might have gotten a new job that doesn’t give her a company phone and this really is a wrong number.

Since last time we met she has used the same language that tells me she's at the same place. We ended pretty badly last time i deleted her contact from my phone and only realiazed it was her cause of the area code and the number looked familiar
