Sooooooo I guess if that's still true then you should ask her to do something with you specifically. I guess it depends on your situation though... Honestly this is exactly what I used to take girls bowling for.

"Hang out" or a date? If you want a date, you need to use more direct and intentional language. You need to ask her "Would you like to have dinner with me?" or "Would you like to join me for x, y, and z?" You need to make your intention for her to spend time with you specifically clear.
