Why would someone think a 6‑year age gap is “too old” for them?

I started talking to this girl when she was like 17 and I was 23, not illegal, but I guess it's in that area where it's a little grey, but even years later like when I was say early 30's and she was 6 years younger than me, she still said there was too much of an age difference. Like I'm SIX years older than you.. not SIXTY. In no way is that creepy. It's a slightly larger than average age gap.

That's just the way she feels and there is nothing you can do about it. Personally, I don't thinj I would even feel comfortable with a 23 year old trying to pick up a minor even if it is legal in your area. If you are both in your 20s then that's a different story I suppose. Still, she said no and you should move on regardless of her reason.

There's only "yes" and "no". Nothing else a woman says in response is important and may not be true. She said "no". Forget the rest and move on.

I guess this is subjective, but I think to most young people 6 years is a lot. I mean for the 17yo thing, guys in their 20s are uncs to them. When I was around that age, I rejected the guys in their mid 20s. Some times i had guys like you who were confused why I'd reject them on age, like when I was 18 this 22yo was really really confused I thought he was too old for me. But to me a 22yo was a borderline 'unc' and I thought he'd be too boring and way too mature, with responsabilites, and was borderline too old to be cool. A 24yo to me was a relic. Teens are pretty immature lol. I'm probably close in age to the girl who said you where too old in your 30s. And a man in his early 30s is too old for me too. We're at different lifestages, maturity levels, they're too settled down and they had all their fun already, he probably will be tired often, he's a bit less attractive than a 25yo guy, he's probably going to want babies and marriage fast, what would we have in common honestly. That being said I guess I could if he's worth it, but it definitely wouldn't be something I'd like to do. I only want guys in their mid 20s.

It’s her choice. If she feels that’s too old for her, that’s her right. And 17 is illegal in some states.
