If someone rejected, you because they were talking to someone else, but it did not work out and they came back would you reject them back?

Reverse the situation and put yourself in the first guy's shoes. You are talking to someone to see if you might end up dating her, and she comes up to you one day and just goes "I met this other guy yesterday, I'm going to be talking to him too" or "let me get back to you next week because I don't want to reject this other guy until I decide if I like him more than you first", wouldn't you want her to tell him no because she's talking to you? She could string you both along and turn it into a competition or date you both at the same time, but she isn't doing that. She's focused on one guy at a time instead of playing the field. Would you rather date someone who was the opposite? This eye for an eye thing that you have to reject her because she "rejected" you due to the timing is just your pride or ego talking. There's nothing that says it would happen again because based on what you know, she'll reject anyone else who comes along while she's interested in you.

I understand you are conflicted because it would have felt more special if she had avoided him at the outset. It's a clear sign she doesn't have strong feelings for you right now.

Sure, why not? Presumably you liked them so what's really changed? Timing is everything in relationships and you had poor timing the first time. If they're the ones to come around the second time I don't see an issue.
