I don’t really think that’s bad. If you guys have FaceTimed and she followed up texting you, in my opinion that’s her relaying some sort of interest. Hanging out is how you determine what that interest is exactly. I’d say if you decide to ask her out, try not to make it such a big deal in your mind. For right now, it would just be two friends going out for a drink (if you two drink) or to grab a bite and that’s all. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy if you want to keep it chill, go to a burger joint or someplace that’s a bit more bustly vs intimate. You will have a lot of your answers about her based off how she responds to be asked out, and how she proceeds going forward. Right now, it’s too much grey area, so I feel like it’s safe. If she declines, then honestly what have you to lose? Since you’re no longer coworkers it’s not like you’ll see her around, and just in your day to day I don’t envision you running into her. Just try not to let an overthinking or worrisome mindset stand in between you and trying, or you and going for something you want. Because for all the reasons you have convinced yourself it’s a bad idea, there are reasons why it is a good one.

The way I see it, she’s already made her moves. It sounds like she reached out first, so there’s that (if so). Along with the FaceTime, if she initiated that, then following up with the text. Women already can be so hesitant to try with guys, whatsoever, because historically and traditionally we’ve been made to think that guys should approach first. We’ve been told we look desperate if we try, along with numerous other outdated predispositions.

So Ultimately, she is most likely not going to keep trying, so it’s your turn to step up to the plate. For all the nerve and courage you’re trying to muster up, just remember— she had to overcome that, so you can too.

Rather than stroking the canvas, for me it was just ask. I already know whether I would go out with you or not, so asking just gets you to that answer. I kinda think there is always a window but it is of variable length. They could be attracted to you for a while but then be attracted to someone else. So the window closes.

Not if she is reasonable and understands that people have lives. Having said that, I would not wait too long.

Eventually, she will think you aren't interested. If you two are texting and talking then that gives you more time. If you stop talking, that shortens your window before she thinks you're not interested.
