How can you realistically tell if you’re actually ugly or attractive?

People sometimes say I’m handsome but fuck it maybe they’re just being nice. They don’t say it most of the time though.

and it’s not like people will say you’re ugly.

Still, it’s hard for me to tell. I see myself in a mirror and don’t like what I see but then I see people with hot women that look like shit (and are shit people too).

You really can't. Even if you were to ask you likely would not get an honest answer. Women lie 50% of the time. And being unsure of yourself is unattractive. So by asking, you just became unattractive even if you were.😆

You're a guy, i'm not saying there are not attributes women find attractive in men. But at your age women (if they've matured at all) are bo longer girls. Their acctration to men is varied. So don't even trip about whether you're attractive or not. I promise you, you will be to some women. So just worry about a solid guy. The rest will take care of itself.

You ask someone you can trust to give you an honest opinion. The kind way to do this is to suggest a change that would make them more attractive, like "You might trim your beard" or "Working out might improve your appearance and your mood"

I get told all the time that I'm very beautiful and get tons of compliments on my hair, eyes, face, smile, etc. My husband certainly thinks I'm very beautiful. You can't. Ever heard the phrase beauty is in the eye of the beholder? It means it is perception. It is a subjective thing.
