Yes, it was a renewal by my best friend and his wife after 30 years of marriage (they have now been married for 41 years.) There were approximately 100 people in attendance. I would never want to do that myself, but I respect why other people do it.

I know a guy whose wife is c-r-a-z-y... He told me that they did a vow renewal ceremony recently. My body language showed that I was a bit startled. He saw that and said, "I know. It was HER idea..."... LOL 😂

My best friend got married at a Justice of the Peace. his wife was divorced so they could not be married in the church. A year later they managed to get her first marriage annuled so they had a do over in the church.

As a matter of fact, my wife and I just attended one at the church we go to. It was a dinner night for married couples, culminating with a homily and renewal of marriage vows.

My big wedding was actually a renewal of vows on our first anniversary. Went the same as any big wedding except for the words. Reception was a blast.
