Do you remember your first real date?

I was in college and she lived in the same dorm. It really was not a big deal.

The one that really sticks out is one girl I dated that I picked her up at her house and got the third degree from her father.

Yes! I was only 9 years old and we were double dating with my sister and her date. He was in junior high school.

My mom drove us to the drive-in movies. His name was Bob Bush.
We sat in the front seat and he kept trying to hold my hand. He'd lightly hit the side of my leg and hold out his hand.

I thought I was going to throw up. I asked my mom to come to the bathroom with me. I told her what was happening so she said she would fix it. When we got back to the car, she sat between us.

Boys still gave me the cooties at that time.

Yes. He came inside the house, shook my dad’s hand, talked to him for a bit and took me out to dinner. I was the one interrogated when I got home🙄. It was so innocent that I didn’t realize what my dad was getting at. I just kept explaining what we ordered for dinner. 😂

I want to say "yes" but it was awkwardly labeled as "hanging out" so I never thought of it as a date. We went to a little cafe in my neighborhood and talked about his college experience and my plans for college. Our parents had connected us so he was initially very hesitant to show up, but when he got to the door he smiled and gave me his arm and took me all over the place. It didn't last bc he tried to pull some macho thing with me after weeks of being sweet. I wasn't having it.

I started college when I was 16. That Thanksgiving, I returned home and had a date with Connie Martinez, who was the cutest girl I knew. She was a wonderful companion for the evening and I have very fond memories of her.

My first girlfriend I had in high school. We hung out for over a month before we had the chance to go on our first real date. Our first date was to go bowling on base (we were both military brats).

We made a fun wager where if she won I would have to make her a homemade pizza but if she won she would do my math homework. Close match, but she ended up winning. I had every intention of keeping my word and told her I would make it for her as one of her graduation presents later that year because I was working and planning to quit my job so I can have my senior year free.

Never made it to that point. Right after she graduated, her stepdad interfered in our relationship, got into her head and ultimately she broke up with me. Sometimes I fantasize about us getting back together and me making that long-owed pizza XD But it is just fantasy. Still, that first date was amazing. We laughed so hard and had so much fun.

I was in HS and working in a neighborhood supermarket. One of the stock boys asked me out. I was clueless with what a date is. He took me ice skating in Central Park. It was fun. Then I had to call dad lol… dad was not happy so I had to go home. I was what? 16?

I was in high school and it was with my high school sweetheart. The night of my senior prom came up and she and I were dancing together and during Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not, we shared our first kiss and my mom was able to capture the picture. And for the seniors, the senior guys had a dance with their mothers and the senior girls had a dance with their fathers. My mom was crying the entire time she danced with me.
