What was the best date that you ever went on?

I often think of the worst dates I ever had but rarely think about the best ones.

I think that this was one of the best questions I ever asked. I usually ask stuff like near death experiences or if you know anyone who has been murdered.

On a third date with a 30 year old when I was 36, I took her to a county fair. We had a great time and, in the evening, made out like crazy in a secluded spot while listening to live music.

When I brought her home, she invited me into her house for the first time.
I sat on her bed and she laid me back. Then, to my surprise, she removed my shoes and socks and proceeded to methodically undress me.
Once I was nude on the bed, she slowly undressed kind of self consciously. As she gradually revealed herself, I realized that, beneath her clothes, her body was perfect.

@exitseven Ok, I've thought about this. Here's a very good date, possibly #1. I was working with this woman who thought I was a total dumb nerd. Anyway, she recruited me to fill a spot on her bowling team. One night, she bet me that she would beat me in total pin count, with our handicaps, of course. I lost as she bowled better than ever before. The loser had to take the winner to dinner. That dinner date at a Tex-Mex restaurant went really well and led to other dates. We got married 20 months later and were married for 20+ years (3 kids) until an amicable divorce.

It was a couple of years ago and we talked and talked forEVER and just chilled and laughed wherever we went. He was incredibly sweet and did this little "Lady & The Tramp" sort of thing with me, saving the best parts of the pasta for me and nudging them over to my side of the plate. We took a long walk around to different places till we were both tuckered out. I took his arm and the smile he gave me sent me to the moon and back. Hmm.

A week later his sister called asking "Wtf did you do to my brother? He hasn't shut up about you!" And I said we didn't do anything... just one date... it was nice... Saw me again and had a moment... I got another call from the sister... and within the month he promptly cooled his jets. It's been very awkward between us ever since.

But then she told me there was something odd about his talking on and on about me. She said he's never done that before. She actually started trying to nudge us together, however I think a lot of time and issues have passed between us... it's perhaps too late for anything nice to happen. But I'll always remember the few nice nights we had.

It was with my neighbor across the street. We liked each other, but he had just been through a hard divorce.

He arranged for a babysitter, picked me up with his boat hooked up to his Jeep and when we arrived and parked the boat, there was this restaurant there.

We had an excellent breakfast!

I had a first date with a girl who I met online. Her pictures were beautiful, very close to my ideal. From the moment we met, we started talking and the conversation flowed very easily. We had multiple common interests and I sensed that she was as excited about meeting me as I was about meeting her. I wish i could explain to young men how much better dating is for a man after 40. I seldom if ever ask women out anymore, they ask me. And it's so much better going out with a woman knowing she truly wants to date you and you're not just some number in a queue of guys.

If i could do life over i think i would have just skipped dating before 40 altogether.😂
