Agree since you added the "more often than not" qualifier. I may not be perfect at reading other people but I'm fairly self aware and hyper aware of my surroundings and other people reacting to me. Call it a hobby for me. It used to be my job.

And women despite their annoying indirect communication style and secret cryptic "hints" to avoid letting a guy know they are interested are actually pretty transparent when they are into a particular guy if you know what to look for. A lot of times it's pretty obvious whether they intend that or they just have low impulse control or the signals are subconscious and they don't even know they are doing it.

Women seem convinced that guys are clueless about the hints they drop. I think a lot of guys are reading the situation just fine. Women never seem to consider that we may not react because we're not into them. Or we're into someone else more. Or we aren't interested in getting into a relationship at all in the moment. Or we're in a situation (career or other commitments) where we aren't able to devote time to a relationship.

I could usually tell after a period of time. Most girls don't devote a lot of time and energy with someone they're not interested in.
