The Op assumes you're asking this question about mature women. And only immature women and men base relationships soley on sexual compatibility and attraction. If a woman does that she's stunted emotionally, possibly psychologically. Which suggests she may have been sexually abused.

a lot of people get into their relationships without having sex before... many even wait till marriage, so the sex is not the "basis" of their relationship... sex is something they built upon their relationship
