Why would a casual fling invite me to Vegas then comment on other women?

guy that I was talking to off and on invited me on his work trip to Vegas… he was just a one night stand from 8 months ago but we stayed in contact. These are some of the comments he would make

“Hey did you see that stripper van, right down the number “

“Did you see that girls butt it was so big that it looked fake

“did you see that server, she was kinda flirting with me”

“who sings this song? Is she a baddie?
“me shows him my friend, him “am I aloud to say she’s pretty”

granted we aren’t in a relationship nor did I want to be in one I went down there already having a understanding of what this was, plus he’s been seeing me dating on social media prior to the trip. He would make little comments saying “I know you have a man, you he real etc”… yet didn’t want to commit. So I’m confused why he brought me there and made all these comments? He’s 29 by the way

He may have invited you out of convenience and familiarity, he didn’t want to take that trip alone, plus he would have someone to hook up with whenever you guys feel like it. I also think he’s treating you like the friend you’re meant to be, because friends talk about those sorts of things. I find it a bit disrespectful, but when you’re trying to fill this sort of cool girl, laid back, “we can check out other girls together” role, this would inevitably happen.
