Why would a woman try to ask you if your interested in other women without you bringing it up?

My coworker twice now has ask me if I’m interested in different women that we mutually know outside of work and what I think about them as potential romantic partners. I have never brought up this subject to her.

Sounds to me like inappropriate workplace behaviour worthy of talking to your boss about.

My only thoughts:
- she is trying to "gay test" you so she can be homophobic
- she is trying to see if you already have a girlfriend
- she is trying to determine your type so she can become it
- she is a creep
- she is trying to trap you so she can report you to HR

There are no good scenarios, here, in my opinion.

Tell her she's making you uncomfortable, to stop, and you will escalate to your boss if she continues.

Keeping it real I like her. One of the women I didn’t know and the other I only met once on trip and we barely talked.

Okay, gotcha. Yeah man, it's a coin toss whether she wants you personally, but those are pretty great odds considered the odds of any other girl. You can always ask her to do something alone some time and see how she responds. She may still "test" you to see if you are talking about dating. If so, don't shy away. Be cool, and respond confidently. And if she rejects you, who cares?
