If you were on a date and you were given really bad service at a restaurant how would you want your date to handle this?

I often hear people say 'watch how they treat service workers' as a good green light to continue dating someone... well that had me wondering what if the service was legitimately bad? like the waiter or waitress was rude, it took way too long to get your food or the food itself was badly undercooked. How would you hope your date handles this?

They respectfully pay for the meal and leave immediately. Then just treat the situation like 'one of those moment' you can look back and laugh at

They call for the manager and complain respectfully without raising their voice or name calling

I'm ok if they do actually get mad and chew out the waiter or manager there

Pay for the meals but don't leave a tip for the waiter without complaining to the workers

I would just like him to take lead and take care of the situation by checking in if our food is ready because it has been a while. Depending on the service with treatment and communication... If needed, he can always take care of it by advocating for better service or he will maintain modest like a gentleman by being the bigger person of the situation by just ending the night and paying what he needs to do. Apologize to me for the bad service we experienced and make it up to me to take me somewhere else later the day or next time to have a better experience for a date.

It would depend on how bad the service or food was. Normally it's best to quietly bring your dissatisfaction to the attention of staff and one should never make a scene. But if there's something really bad then you can be a little firmer but always dignified.
