Why do we see so few Millennial–Gen Z romantic relationships now?

obviously, women have and will always like older men by default so the probability of a Gen Z dude ever getting with a Millennial woman are slim. however today I dont think I ever seen a millennial dude with a Gen Z girl.

either way is not like we millennial men date but I remember back in the 1990s a lot of Millennial girls who were in their teen days, especially the drama queens used to jump head first towards Gen X dudes. my older brother who was a player during and after his high school days would always bring millennial bimbos to the house for one night stands and one of them became his first baby mama.

I guess that perhaps today I'm not the only millennial man who finds Gen Z women repulsing. not like the women from our generation were any better thanks to all their hyped up expectations that they developed watching too much Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Jersey Shore and all those other reality shows that they indulged on. along with Disney princess movies prior to that in their childhood era.

The idea that women prefer older men or even like them all that much is a stereotype, the manosphere really plays it up. But usually girls/women want the same age. If they want older it's typically only a couple years older. millenial x gen z is a big age gap.

But anyways, I do agree it's less common nowadays probably. I think it's really just feminism honestly. More specifically a combination of the whole demonization of age gaps, the grooming discourse (not applied to just minors or barely legals now but well into 20s for some people...), women not wanting a power imbalance and wanting less traditional gender roles in dating (I think wanting an older guy is to feel more feminine and protected, and have an older brother or uncle figure, that kinda takes care of you. You innately are in the submissive position. I think girls want more of that equal - equal complicity thing with someone that can relate to them and is at the same life stage), slightly more delayed marriage and kids, so no need to look at older for more serious things at younger ages as much. And I think also women earn easily good starter salaries, so they don't need an older more established guy to help foot the bill as much. That's my theory.

as an advocate of the manosphere I have to say that we did not make this up. women have always preferred older men since the dawn of time. you can see this among celebrities; Jason Statham's wife is 20 years younger than him. same with George Clooney, Al Pacino, and many others.

Women used to not be able to decide who they marry, their fathers married them off to men who could provide for them or even increase the status and standing of the family. It doesn't reflect our preferences. Nowadays some older men, mainly wealthy men, can get younger women, but it's big part because of their wealth and status. Middle class and lower class older men aren't really who younger women fantasize about and go after (well if by younger we're talking under 30, esp under 25).

I do think your perception of reality is a bit warped by the content you watch, we absolutely aren't looking for losers to serve us. That's a bit absurd honestly.

I think the manosphere really exaggerates how common that is in the west at least. The only age gaps I've seen with people close to my age and younger are 1-3 years appart and the biggest one was 7 years. The only time I've seen like a early/mid 20s girl with a 40yo man were influencers online. Personally my favorite age in a guy has always been whatever age I was at the time, and I've always wanted to date mainly as close as possible to that age. I'm pretty sure for a big chunk of gen z it's the same

Why have women tended to like slighly older men? Because of their lack of maturity at the same age. We all are aware that men tend to mature much slower than women do.

A 20 year old man has the same maturity level as a 17-18 year old woman. Why would any woman have to have a romantic relationship with a child like boy?

Furthermore, nowadays, people are no longer interested in romanticism. Fornication is what it is all about and for that, you don't need to be romantic. This started with internet and how easily it is to get pornographic content.

not all of them. simply for the fact that for a starter I remember back in 2009 they did a so called statistic in Singapore claiming that people who drink more than 2 cups of soda a week have an 87% chance of getting pancreatic cancer.

yet for some odd reason the average American drinks more than one can of soda a year and pancreatic cancer still remains one of the rarest form of cancer
