Most customers are RICH and i mean old money rich so it can be intimidating at times but most are actually very down to earth and respectful.
I come from very little compared to them and have a very normal life. Im lower middle class and was told to change my accent when serving customers as no one wants to her a brummy accent when buying pocket squares so I just put on a softly spoken posh accent im so used to doing it now it isn't hard.
We have a customer come in regularly atm called Tom. Tom is a little older than me, id say eary 40s whilst im late 20s. he's very chatty and is actually one of my most favourite customers as he doesn't act like the others and as he's always super friendly and casual and has a great sense of humour. he's also very attractive.
Im not really sure what he does as a job i think he does something with money but I don't ask. he's very wealthy anyway and always shows up in a nice car.
Anyway my work had its 30th anniversary party a couple weeks ago and we invited a lot of are regular customers most didn't come as obviously they are very busy but Tom came and had a drink with us which was nice and he bought his dog with him.
I was playing with his dog and we got chatting. We had a really good back and forth, laughed a lot and there was definitely abit of a spark there. All my colleagues were stairing
He said but he really liked me and thought I was nice girl and wanted to take me out some time if that was okay.
I said I didn't think it would be appropriate but he slipped me his phone number and he keeps coming into store now to see me but i don't trust him.
He probably just sees me as someone he can play with and then throw away
