How do I naturally start physical affection on our third date at my place?

I want to get closer to her physically, I want to bring up the topic, she is a night shift nurse and I like her.
I want to know her more but due to her job we don't get enough time together like 2 hours max.
The next date is at my place, going to cook chicken for us two...
And I want to bring up a bit of physical affection. Just I don't know how to start being in that. I am not a smooth talker or anything.

"A bit of physical affection" could be just holding hands and a peck on the cheek and nothing more.

If you don't want to scare her off, then you ask her if it is OK to hold her hand and to give her a peck on the cheek. Never just grab her because that is the worst thing you can do as that would be bypassing the consentment.

The first date she held my hand like asking me to hold her bag for a second and she just took my hand next.
(End I tried to hug, I am not very tall 5.7 , she is a bit short so the hug was awkward)
The second date wasn't good,
She was exhausted, and frankly I moved to a new place too, we both were completely exhausted. It wasn't good I think for her at least.
None of my jokes or conversation landed.
And on the second date she was pressing my hand like she was anxious, and I don't want to hurt any one so I normally let my hand lose.
And my thumbs are weird they bend from the joints which she found a bit off I think.
