Is it a red flag when a guy moves this fast after one date?

I just went on a first date with someone I knew around 10 years ago. We matched on hinge and immediately after we started talking started saying “he doesn’t play games” and basically insinuating that he is really looking for a serious relationship. FINE. Anyway, we planned a little catch up date tomorrow and a little apple picking expedition for Saturday. I saw him today in the end and felt things were moving fast (not in a seggsual manner) just in terms of we’d JUST reacquainted and he is already basically telling me he wants me tk come to Christmas next year with his family, asking me about children, etc. Another odd thing is he KEPT talking about his ex girlfriend of a year ago, specifically how the relationship ended. Putting aside my own feelings (which rn are lacking) I just wanna know if this is just one big red flag.

I would say yes for me it's I don't know if it's a red flag or what type of flag but it's way too soon too fast to making plans that way when you're just meeting each other again time changes everything within people you're not the same people and you can't assume and you can't act like that time wasn't between you both so for me it's going way too fast

Because what they're trying to do is get you before anybody else can get you or have you commit to something before you can't commit to it

It's like winning it take a breath here let's just get through the first date and then we can both decide on the next date but going someplace to be with other people's family that's just too soon too quick

It suggests a lack of emotional intelligence. I think it's fine to stake out where he sees a relationship going, but you don't even have a relationship... it's just a fantasy right now. People would normally understand that would make you uncomfortable.

But we are all messed up in different ways. Maybe he's had people think he just wants sex and he's trying too hard to correct that. Or whatever. Maybe just try to ignore it for now and see whether he is in fact someone you want to spend time with.

Sounds like he's a straight shooter and like he said - he doesn't play games. He's letting you know what's on his mind and what he wants in life.

Some women would appreciate it and it would give them hope if they too have marriage in mind.

He's letting you know the plans he wants to make with you for the future. That could mean a lot to some women who would feel more secure knowing that he's not going to run out on you.

Would you rather have a guy that doesn't say anything about the two of you and you have no idea what he has on his mind about the relationship?

Yes, that's a HUGE RED FLAG. It's called love bombing. He will say he is in love with any woman who pays him any attention. Maybe he thinks he is. But when she turns out to be a person with needs of her own, shattering his fantasies of her, he will drop her. Either that or he will continue until she agrees to a relationship, and then start the cycle of abuse.

TL;DR: RUN AWAY. Then run away farther and faster.

Well, you should not assume this as a red flag. Maybe he is just trying to open up and express himself. Maybe these feelings were not expressed to anyone before. Maybe he is telling you these things because he wants you to trust him. However, I can also understand that it might make you feel uncomfortable so if you absolutely don't care about his past then you can tell him not to talk about his past or his past relationships.
