Is there a ‘too late’ time to text someone at night?

Usually I'll write the text, then hit send in the morning, but sometimes I hit send just as a habbit. in my opinion if it bothers people they can just silence their phone at night time i guess. I don't know, I should probably just stick with my former method and send in the morning. Opinions?

I only sleep about 4 hours per night so I don't mind a text in the wee hours. And my phone is silenced always. I look at it and respond on my schedule not everyone else's. But I realize other people need more sleep or are addicted to their phones and can't simply keep it on silent mode.

I don't think there's a strict rule, but if it's really late, I'd probably wait until morning. Some people keep their phones on for emergencies or work, so even a harmless text can wake them up.

I do the same thing sometimes where I write the message and accidentally hit send. 😂 But honestly, if you already know you can wait, morning is probably the safer option.

It depends on the person I'm messaging. With some I avoid while with others I don't care. Personally I put my phone on silent if I want to be left alone so people can send in the middle of the night I don't care.

A text is never wanted at any time. An actual phone call, on the other hand is always nice.

Yeah, I don't call after 21.00 and don't text after 22.00 unless we planned to do so.

I do not send late night texts as I have regretted doing so a few times. I wait until morning to hit send after I re-read the text

I only text between 10 AM- 4 PM.

I won't text after 11pm or before 7am, unless it's an emergency. But then I think I'd call at that point.
