Why would a guy on a dating app seem okay at first, ask if you would move to his state to be with him, and then, when you say no, block you so fast?

I agree with Whitney, he’s definitely giving love bomb vibes. I feel like it’s a pretty common tactic with scammers, or even people who are really impulsive. When his trying to move fast gets stopped by realistic boundaries, like “no”, they’ll quickly drop you and move on to someone more vulnerable.
Honestly, I’d take that as a pretty clear sign that moving was a requirement for him, not something he was willing to discuss or compromise on.
You said no, and instead of having a conversation about it, he immediately blocked you. That makes me think he either had very specific expectations about what he wanted or was only interested if things could happen on his terms.
It could also be that he took your answer as a sign that the relationship wasn't going to work for him and decided to move on quickly. That doesn't necessarily mean you did anything wrong.
Personally, I’d rather find that out early than get emotionally invested and discover months later that he expected me to completely rearrange my life for him. Saying no to moving doesn't make you difficult. You’re allowed to have your own life and boundaries.
Cause there’s no future there so it’s not worth talking to you about. Now if you had said it depends, he might have not blocked you. Maybe he’s testing your logic by using hypotheticals to gauge how you think. But yes I don’t think a man or woman should waste their time on a person who said no, knowing what they want in a relationship.
He either wants a really fast commitment or he wants you to think that so you’ll sleep with him
It was a deal breaker for him. Why date people far from you if you aren't willing to consider moving?
I barely know him
So forget it and move on. He is looking for a relationship, not a pen pal.
Actually I wouldn’t have mind moving but asking so fast and I don’t even know for 1 day is crazy
Aah... you said NO to him. You see the mistake?
I barely know him
:) :) I'm not entirely sure if I was ironic or laconic but probably was sardonic as there was an element of grimly mocking him. I think we can agree it was a big ask on his part for you to shift states so he could find out if he likes you and that you will give him sex. :) :)
Mind you I can't say I am any better because I invite girls from the outer suburbs to the inner city on exactly the same basis. :)
He’s literally over 6 hours away
Giving credit where it is due, he has ambition.
I once had the same ambition with a girl I met on a dating app, but she didn't have time. Not just no time for me, she later told me that she barely had time to hang out with her local friends.
@JHNS98 What is she doing on a dating app is she doesn't have time to... Aah... date?
One of the things I like about outer burban girls is because there isn't much in the outer burbs they tend to visit each other's home and hang out. So they are not so demanding. Plus they are susceptible to invitations to the inner city.
Yeah, I wonder that too, but I never asked her about it. She was over six hours away from me and couldn't really commit that time, let alone an entire day.
Anyway, about outer suburbia. I actually live in an outer suburb of my city. After having ended my efforts with that girl, I then entered a casual arrangement with a local girl who had a crush on me, which was on and off for another year. Then I entered an LDR with a girl from another country, and now I'm hanging out with another local girl without expectations.
@JHNS98 The salt of the earth live in the outer suburbs :) Things are obviously going well for you.
He thinks life is all about him. He is self centered and does not really care about you. Have you met him IRL? At any rate block him back and move on.
I haven’t met him irl
Because you didn’t give him the answer he wants. But it’s ok. Don’t move your whole life for someone that fast
