So there was this boy who asked me out. I do check him out but the timing was really bad when he asked me to hang out. I rejected him and he said he must've misunderstood and I felt bad because I was confused. We never talked after that and even in school he would act like nothing happened. A week ago he blocked me but still acts normal. Why did he do this?
Well he couldn't know that was "bad timing" anyway, and you don't know from how much (and how much) he hoped to get a "yes" from you.
If he blocked you were could be 2 reasons I think about:
1) He wanted to attract your attention by showing how he cut you out from his life, or just to show you a small "revenge", because he was hoping a lot in that "yes".
2) He was hoping too often to get a message from you, maybe he had a crush, so he decided to block you in order to stop hoping about that (if you're blocked you can't text him, so he stops thinking about the chance), for his wellbeing.
I think u should not mind it , and if u are worry about it then u should taken more time to answer him
