Why would he block me?

Was seeing a guy for a while. We were close, so I thought. After a specific conversation, I realized he was not that into me. Okay.

I got back on fb dating and his profile was presented to me. I was suprised, but not surprised, as I understood he was not that into me.

I told him I was unaware he was still actively dating. Not a problem, I was just unaware, although it did explain a lot. He asked where that came from. I shared I saw his profile on fb dating. He said it was old, etc, etc. Okay. It really was not a problem for me. We were not exclusive. I just thought we were closer. So I gave him a hug and left.

I later realized he blocked me on fb. We were never fb friends, but we did share posts via messenger. When I was unable share a post, that's when I realized he blocked me.

I don't understand what I could've done to be blocked, especially if we were never fb friends and we only shared messges via messenger.

I'm lost.

Damn girl, that is really weird of him to block you like that. Honestly it seems like he might just be a sensitive dude who can't handle any kind of confrontation or questioning of his actions.

Which like, I get being a little defensive when you get called out for still actively using a dating app. But blocking you is super immature and over the top. Why not just calmly explain himself like a mature adult? Weird.

My guess is he felt embarrassed about being "caught" I guess, even though you said it wasn't a big deal. Some guys just can't handle any hit to their ego, even minor things.

I wouldn't take it personal though. Clearly this dude has some issues with communication and being accountable. You did nothing wrong - you were honest and upfront like you should be in any relationship.

Just forget about him. His loss! Now you dodged being with someone who runs away from problems instead of dealing with them head-on. You'll find someone way more mature who appreciates you speaking your mind.
