Why is it legal for men to abandon their children?

It’s not. Nowhere on Earth are men not expected to provide for their children. There are legal consequences and societal repercussions for men abandoning their families, and they are almost never circumvented.

Even if a man is forced out of a relationship he's always seen as the POS that walked away even if he had every intention of sticking around for his kids.

it's really not uncommon for men to just walk out on their families. I think this should be an arrestable offense. they're messing with human lives. we all know kids who grow up without a parent either mom or dad tend to be mentally fucked up in some sort of way

because the moms are usually the ones doing 90% of the child care so kids are already too attached to their moms. Kids are less attached to their dads because dads do less for them.
