I have been seeing this guy for about nine months nothing too serious. Are we actually got into our first little disagreement a week ago and we didn’t speak for two days but he was trying to get me to call him and talk to him but I was just upset and I didn’t want to say something that I will regret. And his last text message was are we done but we end up making up. So then a few days later after that we had a serious phone call and he kept asking me. Why did I like him and did I like him for sex only. And he told me that he likes me and that he’s glad that we met. We end up seeing each other this past Friday everything was good we kissed goodbye but the thing is like our communication is very inconsistent like we won’t talk for days. and I’m just trying to figure out like if a guy really likes you why is he so inconsistent?

I think it’s understandable that you wanna protect your peace, and it’s worth looking at the bigger picture here. While I do believe he enjoys your company, I also feel like a guy who’s genuinely interested would risk losing you, or expect you to do all the emotional heavy lifting, such as reaching out first rather than waiting on you to do it.
After 9 months, I think you deserve consistency, and shouldn't have to guess where you stand with a guy. Waiting for you to reach out first after a fight, being inconsistent and keeping things casual for nearly a year suggests he might be comfortable with the convenience of this setup without wanting the actual responsibility of a committed relationship. You shouldn't have to wait around for a permanent spot in someone's life, so it might be time to take a step back and see if he is truly willing to put in the effort to keep you.
Sorry for the mix up. He actually reached out first after the argument.
Gotcha, well, scratch that part but apply the rest.
Communication can be hard. Maybe he isn't use to your standards.
You are the one who didn't want to talk to him. It's you being inconsistent.
