Can substitute teachers write referrals for detentions?

We had a substitute teacher and she left a group of students names left who I guess acted bad or were late. She left on the report that I walked out early to lunch. Before I left to the next class I asked how come my name got left. And I told her I didn't mean to leave early and if she could erase my name from the report. She said no and she said my teacher will handle it on Monday. I saw a stack of referrals with names on them but does that mean she may have wrote me up? And is my teacher gonna find out and try to give me detention?

So when she wrote everyone up who's names were left she can choose to give them after school detention, lunch detention or Saturday school? And when she left my name I asked what detention she thinks I will get. She told me most likely I'll get a Saturday. But is that only until my teacher gives me a referral?

Substitue means she is qualified and is doing the job of the teacher she is subbing for. So she can do what the regular teacher can.

that old trick? Teachers know this, and that paper is bait. They remember what they wrote. And if they don't, they have a double. You can be sure of it. If it's thrown away, it'll just bring hell on him.

So pretty much she can choose what detention she wants to give me. Because I asked The lunch detention lady what usually happens if a students gets their name left behind and gets written up by them. And she said the teacher can decide. But on the desk it says to assign Saturday detention or after school. So I don't get how the sub can choose which one.

I guess you were right lol. My actual teacher after class gave me the referral the sub wrote and I explained what happened but since it was a substitute she wouldn't give me a break
