It depends on what it is, like if it's something I feel confident on, then alone, I guess, so I can just do it my own way, but if it's something I don't feel like I know a lot about, then with others, as long as I'm told what to do, I'm not the leader and the leader and ideally other group members, know what they're doing.

alone, although i am a very extroverted and outgoing person. the main reason is bc i hate having to do everything or most things for a group... and then give the other person or people credit. additionally, i am more focused when i am by myself in a quiet area, so if im alone, i can get wayyyy more done

Definitely alone. You always have at least one person in the group who doesn't do their job and slows everything down because they're either genuinely intellectually inept or lazy asses relying on the collective.
I work best under pressure, meaning I tend to do best when I start one day or the morning before something is due but this work ethic tends to freak out most people who actually need to revise things multiple times to feel confident.
I'm currently working with this guy for my thesis block, where we have to team up and hold small presentations every week and we work pretty well together because he's actually as chill as I am which I great

I find that 1) I either get taken advantage of and end up taking over the entire project anyway, 2) I spend too much time socializing or just talking to get anything done, and 3) the end product doesn't match what I think it should look like because I had to sacrifice some of the details because of compromises I made with the other person.

Having other people around always distracts us eventually and too many partners usually find something to disagree with each other
