I would say it's not fair to the millions of kids who aspire to become rich youtubers but won't cut it because it's essentially random, like the lottery. No one has explained as much to them in blunt enough terms, because we're all a bit new to this.
It's not really a fair comparison, winning a competition prize is a big pay off for the person at the top, because they're the best. I'm fairly certain the best doctor, best engineer, best lawyer, etc. In the world earns more than 3 million a year.
YouTubers don’t make much because of YouTubes new “advertiser friendly” rules. A lot of YouTubers videos are getting demonetized for no reason or for really dumb reasons. Also copyright being an issue too
Life isn't fair in general. If the winnings cup amounts to 3 million... Then it's fair. If you have to play a game that is you amongst 99 other players at once, and you win, you must be doing something right.
I think it’s fair. Gaming is apart of our culture especially for the youth. Only a fortunate few get paid millions for gaming. They work hard and have a huge following.
This os honestly not a smart question. It's not like they are given that money by government or something, they earn it by themselves, u can do it too since it's easy right? Then do it, what r u waiting for?
@The6ix I'm a dockside lawyer, ask me any question that only a lawyer would know, scamp.
Oh wait, you can't. Because you know less than nothing. I don't know, maybe you can wing it, maybe you can ask Google, "what's a good question to ask a lawyer?"
I mean it is not fair. But it is fair that anyone has the equal opportunity to win and get famous through YT or other means, even doctors. An instance is Dr. Pimple Popper
No it's not fair, and I'm okay with that. But tbh people that come from wealthy families with medical backgrounds have a much better chance of being successful in school. That in itself isn't fair, but nobody complains about that so...
Well that one particular gamer won a contest, and yeah I think it's fair, gamers put countless hours of no sleep into what they do, as much as I'm a gamer I could never put that much into it. What I think is NOT fair however is how much celebrities and sports stars get paid as compared to people who fight for their country
Yes it is they got 1p or 1 cents per view its not like a wage that they get paid for every video unlike doctors etc. Its just how it works youtubers get paid less than doctors they get 1 cents per view but the views add up in the end its neither fair nor unfair its just how it is
Sickens me just as much as athletes and entertainers getting paid that much. But our society values entertainment over what really matters so ya probably won't change.
The market is such and the demand exists , the investment higher and the instant gratification higher. Turn over is also instant by the second and all based on alorgthims
I dont think it's not fair but in a way its isn't at the same time. People will throw money at anything so if you can make it into a career and get that kind of money, go for it but like everything else have a fallback and work hard at it.
Yeah. Go ahead and try to play at their level. It takes more focus and practice then I think you even understand. Basically all pro gamers spend over 10 hours everyday training.
Gamers, Youtube people like us are smarter. I still video games. Once it's hard at the game, I be in my Calm Zone. Play the game easy and figure what I have to do. Don't play games so it's so hard it pisses you off.
They're paid according to the money they bring in, like athletes, or singers, or actors... Doctors are useful, but they bring in much less money. The more money you bring, the bigger is the part of it you can take.

Lawyers should be making zilch. They should get a bullet in the head, not money.
The saddest part about killing all the lawyers would be the 3-4 innocent ones who die too, but it's a price worth paying.
You don’t know anything about law then. What a stupid demented answer.

How much money do you make?
And do you think its harder than science just curious is all
lol ya okay buddy, you say you're a lawyer and you're advocating they should be killed and not paid a dime, so that applies to you I guess.
lmao that makes no fucking sense then
Getting paid and winning a cash prize are two totally different things.

Public service will never make as much money as generating money for private enterprises

No, but they aren't paid the same way. Besides, doctors, lawyers, and engineers make plenty.
Teachers and police officers are the ones that are underpaid.

Sure. They're not the first people to get rich without having contributed fuckall to society.
