I looked up SafeAssign and it tracks plagiarism. Paraphrase and use synonyms for words that you use from sources. Mix-up writing. Try your best to make everything you write 95% original and when you use quotes, use in text citations.
Original Text “SafeAssign is a plagiarism prevention tool that detects unoriginal content in a students paper by identifying areas of overlap between assignments and existing works” How I’d write this for a paper “SafeAssign is a tool that checks to see if a student is taking someone else’s work passing it off as their own. It does this by tracking similarities between assignments and shows instructors where content from the assignments match others.”
You just have to be clever with your words. I majored in a writing field so it comes natural to me. But it’s a skill that can easily be learned. Also take advantage of resubmissions. From what the teacher wrote it doesn’t sound like they’re harsh at all but just take plagiarism seriously. Maybe request to resubmit it.

Maybe a "Harsh Grader" is PUSHING YOU, CHALLENGING YOU, to be what they think you COULD BE!! Maybe they see you as "Gifted", but kind of unfocused, and not using all your mind, to be excellent!! I say that, because I had a teacher in college, that purposely DOWN-GRADED me!! I got so angry, I went to confront him, and ask him WTF? I was doing better than most, in the class! He said that I am one of the SMARTEST, most "Intuitive" students, he has ever taught, and he down-graded me, to CHALLENGE ME, to work to my abilities, and not just get grades, but REALLY DO SOMETHING!! Best teacher, ever, and had a HUGE influence in my life!!

I think you really have to talk to them and find out what they are looking for or what they want. But I will say that 0 percent seems highly unlikely. I'd personally try and reach out to them. Unless that was multiple choice that was a little unbelievably harsh. I'd reach out to the teacher either way for sure
And I'd say reaching out to make sure that was the right grade, if it was why did she grade that way and what can you do to prevent that grade in the future.
I believe you asked a question before, what type of thing is this assignment asking for and you need to be so careful you understand what they are looking for. Sometimes making an assumption for a class assignment can have very hard consequences. I understand that its nice to want to do things without asking for help. But I'm terms of school, it's better to ask questions rather than avoid them
That's not a harsh grader at all. You were over the limit by quite a bit and had a chance to revise it but didn't. It's your fault. Don't blame the grader.
Well you only never get credit because you were above the safe assign score. I don’t think it’s harsh. Plagiarism is actually very serious and in some parts of the world considered a criminal offence.
