How can I deal with this unfair teacher?

So in my school there is only two classes for physics and both have a different teacher. I of course got the one I have hated since last year, but I didn't know about the other class early enough so I couldn't switch out.

The problem is, both classes are so starkly different that it's so obviously unfair. My teacher is such a harsh marker, he barely teaches anything but expects us to figure out the most difficult questions ourselves, his tests are insanely difficult, and he's just such a big idiot overall!! Like to compare my class average is in 70s while the other class is in 90s. Also the other teacher gives less tests and the last practice test they had was EXACTLY THE SAME as the real test, I feel like that just shouldn't be allowed? but I don't know what am I supposed to do about it? And my teacher gives no chances to increase our mark, like we have one test and one assignment per unit, the test is impossible to actually get a high mark, and the assignment is so harshly marked... ughhhh. The other class has so many assignments and chances to increase the mark.

The reason I'm so upset about this is because this class is require for university applications so its incredibly unfair that one class is getting 90s while the other is getting much lower. What do I do about this? Its too late to switch or drop the class but I'm so sick and tired of suffering because of this its stressing me out and I hate this situation so much. I really feel like both teachers are at fault, with one making the class too hard while the other making it too easy...

That's definitely an annoying situation to be in, bro. A few things you could try:

- Talk to your parents and have them email or meet with the principal. Explain how the uneven teaching is putting students from one class at a disadvantage.

- Gather evidence like past tests, assignments, and average grades from both classes to show the stark difference. Data will help make your case.

- Rally some classmates who are also frustrated to back you up. Strength in numbers makes the issue harder to ignore.

- Mention the potential effect on uni apps - that'll get the school motivated to resolve it.

- As a last resort, you could even contact the school board to report an unfair teaching practice if the principal doesn't help.

At the same time, don't stress too much. Your grades aren't solely determined by one crummy teacher. Study hard on your own as well using practice tests online.

And there may be an equalizer if both classes have to take the same provincial exam at the end. Just focus on learning the material dude, you'll get through this! Let me know if they end up doing anything to make it more fair.

Been there before. Fortunately for you, you just have to pass his class and then never have to see him again. Because of this you can kinda kiss ass. Just go up to him and say hey, I’m a smart kid I get As in all my other classes but I’m not doing well in your class. What can I do so that I can get a better grade. Also tell him you are not learning well from the current lessons and seek additional help. Tell him everything in your post. This will work. Especially from now on he will grade your palates more nicely since he sees your grade as more dependent on his skills than yours.

I know people who got PhDs at Ivy League schools while getting a few Bs in their masters degree due to racist professors profiling them on certain days. University is like a baseball game, you don’t lose your shot if you miss one ball. I know people with Cs in their first few years that later got into elite grad schools.
