How to deal with difficult teachers?

The teachers who don't listen to students, are always arrogant, are in their own world only, do not actually teach but give less marks in exams by asking difficult questions or by not listening only.

How do you deal with such people?

High school or College?
High school, you just need to learn how to take exams to pass. Bullshitted my way through high school, graduated 1.5 years early with a very high gpa, top of the class. So don’t worry about the teacher. Pay attention as much as possible then outsmart the exams. Think of how your teacher is thinking, come to a valid solution. Don’t stress about high school. Get the easy A


College is a different beast. Professor can make or break a class. Nevertheless, you should be able to get a C in the class if you bullshit your way through. As long as you show up and learn the basics. If you can’t learn the basics from the prof just learn it online. Reading your book helps a lot as well. Extrapolate from the basics and on the exams you should be able to reinvent the wheel to come to a solution. If you do that, just make sure you don’t run out of time. It’s time consuming to reinvent the wheel. Ended up with a C on an advanced AI exam because it was to long and I had to reinvent the wheel. Just make sure this class doesn’t bottle neck the rest of the classes you take because you didn’t learn enough.


Graduate level classes are yet another ball game. Expect to spend some time learning on your own no matter what. For this reason, the prof shouldn’t be an issue. If the exams or standards are hard, well it’s on you to learn it in depth and it always was.

1. Don't fight with them, they are probably either too old to understand when you challenge them with a question or just stupid
2. Study from YouTube or textbook rather than relying on them
3. You really can't do anything about difficult questions so assume that you will get a bad grade in that subject and then work to improve it

I have a teacher like that. I try to avoid interacting with her, do homework in a way that meets her needs instead of trying to learn anything, and just accept the fact that whenever I'm within 50 feet of her I'll just have to eat 💩 and deal with her attitude

Everyone gets one sooner or later. Listen closely and will tell you what they want. Give them what they want.
