Is it common for a person that comes from a family? that has a medical background to study nursing?

I dont know if it is common, but I suppose it happens. My mom is an RN but I ended up in technology and neither of my brothers have anything to do with the medical field at all.

Yes to me it is my great grandmother was a nurse my grandmother was too and my mom was a nurse practioner so that pretty common to me

I guess so but I wouldn't say its to common. Most people go into studying what they want to not what the family do
