I feel comfortable with opposite gender doctors, so all my doctors are men
314 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. Most of my life I had male GP doctors. Then I got a female one and what happened made me wonder. So with all the male doctors they were always inspecting my junk like they were working at the sandwich shop & deciding what they wanted to do. Then with the female doctor she did not even look below my waist. Were the other doctors all closet homos? Ha ha ha. I mean, if I didn't explicitly mention a problem down there why were they looking if it's not actually needed. Hmmm.
Anyhow she looked like a freaking super model too. Very professional and polite.

1 yI have had both male and female doctors. The key word here is they are doctors!! They are to be professional and help you with your issues. It does not matter what gender they are, what matters is if they know what they are doing!!!
I am good either way, as long as they are knowledgeable of their profession. I ask a lot of questions, and do a lot of my own research to verify what I am being told. It is my body, and health!! I should have an understanding of what I am doing and taking per their recommendation and prescription.

Please Note: Because we are now registered with a very large medical practice, unless you wish to wait for some considerable time (normally several weeks) it is not always that easy to request who you wish to see.

1 yMostly men. I even go to a masseur. No reason for the doctors, that's just how it turned out. And there are only 2 I even see. My gynecologist and my GP.
My masseur I see because he's got stronger hands so the massage feels better.00 Reply

Opposite doctor, just happened that way I originally had a man. I am comfortable with her being my doctor, wasn't comfortable with the last female doctor I had but she resigned. Wasn't a physical discomfort or anything with the last one, I just found her to lax on judgement and it made me doubt if I was in good hands.

1 yMost of my doctors have been female. I had a male doctor on duty when my water broke with my oldest. In the end his wife who is also an OBGYN delivered him.
30 ReplyMy GP and Gyno are both men, I like both of them and I have no issues with a male Doctor.
11 Reply404 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. Have had male General Practitioners in the past, and the one I had, left his practice and went into early retirement. I now have all women doctors, with the exception of my General Dentist - who is excellent.
I have found that women doctors, are just as, or MORE competent than men, no matter what field they are in.
I had a woman surgeon tell me that she had to be "twice as good" as her male counterparts.

1 yMy doc is a woman. Similarly with my dentist. It’s because I want chitchats to be at a minimal and all the male doctors chat too much in my experience.

1 yI have either. As long as they are qualified I don't care I've got a medical issue that needs sorting. In England it can take weeks before you can see a GP so I take whoever I'm given or it's an extra week on top of the wait.
Plus I was a male nurse in sexual health clinic and I've had young girls cry because they rather not see me.😒 Yet men get seen by female nurses all the time. Now the female nurses need chaperones it wasn't always the case.00 Reply- 550 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic.
1 yIt depends. They are a group. Depending on weather you book, it may be a female or male doctor.

Its a plastic T shaped gadget that's inserted inside the the womb uterus to stop me from getting pregnant I need to go to sandyford to get that done and there's all different kinds of them I have the mirena coil that one lasts for 8 years before it finishes and and it gets removed I've only had it in from last November so not even that long

Sandyford is a sexual health clinic in the UK and it's good to get check ups now and then for different things and to see if everything is ok with sexual stuff or pregnancy or infections or I still sleep with my ex which is why I have the coil we are just friends with benifits we get on better as friends than lovers reason for that is because he's not really one for settling down with one girl that's not my type a guy I'm happy single anyway freedom

u 1 yAt present, my primary care physician is a male. I have had a female primary care physician in the past and gender is not an issue for me. I am much more concerned about their competence and their accessibility.

1 yBoth types of genders. I've never cared which genders, as they are both professional on how they carry themselves. I was a bit nervous at a male gynecologist first time going, but I got over that
