Best way to pay for college?

I'm broke and so is my whole family 😭

I first went on an ROTC scholatship but I failed an eye test and got dropped from the program. Then I got into a program that had a work study component but I could not earn enough money with the jobs and my other part time job so I had to drop out again. Finally I went to work for a company that paid my tuition when I went at night. It took me ten years to finish.

Do you live somewhere with a community college nearby? If so, definitely start out there for the first couple years, and you could work at least part time while going to school, to pay for tuition and hopefully start saving a bit of $$ as well.

Try to get as many scholarships and grants as possible!!! They will be lifesavers... and bank savers!!

My family isn't rich, and they tried to help as much as they can, but I still have a lot in loans (I'm paying it off quicker than I thought, but still a lot).

If you can apply for grants, go for 'em.  Even better if you qualify for scholarships.

Scholarships & grants are the ticket & if you apply for them you have a chance of getting one or more so apply for them all. As for student loans if you are able to get a part time job to save money that would be the way to go.

Most people I know study full time work part time and take a year off just to work to and pay for it. They still have student loans just not for all classes

If your family is poor a college is basically free unless you go out of state and live on campus to have your freedom like a lot of people do they cry about student loans
