Kindergarten at Cleveland Elementary School. It was about a half a mile away. I had to cross one small street at the end of the block. Then walk another block to an intersection where there was a crossing guard to cross to the other side of my street and then the large cross street. it depends because sometimes moms protect us a lot and may not let us but i think that you should ask your mom when she walked to school by herself , and for your mom to let her start being independent like making your bed /meals or helping mom with washing dishes and your mom will let u , it worked with me
About 14. I think that’s pretty late too but overprotective parents also it’s a big city with ‘high crime’ but the area itself was pretty safe so no clue why that late I’m the odd one out I’m pretty sure
5th grade i walked to school but i never was alone i had my sister and brother with me , we all were a grade below/higher then each other , but i would sometimes walk alone home from school if they had activites to do or with friends.
I didn't have to walk until I started frequently missing the bus at around the age I dropped out of high school. The school was pretty close & that's the only reason why my mother made me walk. It was about a 45 min walk.
