Do most students have a crush on their teachers?

In my free time I teach Chinese to young boys, I’ve been their teacher for 3 years and now they turned 16, I’ve noticed one of them tries to get in touch with me very often, likes to stay after class just to talk with me, stares at me and so on… Sometimes invites me to play video games with him, of course, I don’t play with him, I do play video games generally, but not with him.

He’s very cute and does nothing inappropriate, I was just wondering is it common for boys to want to spend extra time with their teachers?

I can't say that I ever had a crush on a teacher with the sole exception of my summer semester government professor in college, but even that one went away almost immediately when I found out she was married with kids.

To put into perspective, she looked like the kind of woman Michael Bay would cast as an unreasonably attractive nerd working at a government agency or university in a cheesy action movie. As if in jest, a lot of her extra credit questions on quizzes and exams were completely irrelevant to government and just cheesy movie or TV show trivia.

Even if many of our teachers were very attractive, I never ever felt anything that way.
It did not even come to my mind.

I always thought of anyone teaching me as a teacher only. Nothing more than that.
Not to meet outside the class. Not to even ask questions outside of college/school hours. If by chance, meet in mall or somewhere, then respectfully acknowledge. That's it.

I don't think anybody I knew had any kind of attraction to anyone in the staff. Girls were in ample supply. We, as boys were also in ample supply.
But we did seem to talk about the staff. Mind you mam, we talk about literally everything about every teaching staff. So you guys need to be more careful than you are at home.

It's normal for boys to crush on female teachers. I've had crushes on many teachers over the years.

It is normal at this age... He is 16 and normal to crush especially if teacher is beautiful and adorable
