How to get UK paid sick leave?

My throat's been really sore for two days and I feel it's going to get worse.
I don't have fixed hour at this current job and I only got to work 2 weeks in march so I barley have enough to get by. If my symptoms get worse and I have to call in sick, how do I get compensation for the days I'm off.

It's going to depend, if your company has a sick leave policy, then they would just follow that with regards to paid sick leave. Most that do have a self certification for anything under 7 days, and require a doctors note if it's longer than that, but the specifics would be dependent on your company, I'd check with HR.
