Why do schoolgirls have to wear skirts in winter?

I'm OK with wearing uniform at school. But we girls have to wear short skirts in winter even though it is always cold. Leggings are allowed, but I think pants are more warm.

When I was in secondary school, most girls wore spray on skinny black jeans under our skirts in the winter months. It provided a little bit of warmth but other seasons we wore tights for our uniform. It’s strange that we were forced to wear such short skirts even other people could wear trousers.

Unfortunately I am in a school where girls have to wear short skirts in winter. It is uniform for us girls. We have no choice. Boys have to wear pants in all seasons. They are more comfortable in winter.

They don't here. We ain't fascists though one could argue that school uniform in it's self is, especially when they make you buy it yourself. Draining money from parents who already need to spend money on their child for other things.

Our school skirt is till knee length that too Beige Divider one so it is warm enough. We are allowed to wear Jeggings too.
