Why do girls wear skirts during winter?

Its winter time and it hasn't been so bad around here, we've had temperatures of -8, -10 and -18 at most. But there are always two or three girls I see out there wearing skirts... why?

I simply prefer skirts and dresses! I can't stand the restriction of my legs through tight, horrible denim jeans. It's not as cold as you might expect. In 5C I can wander around in knee high boots, tights and a skirt, with a nice Moncler, and not feel cold at all. Butttt, I do live in Switzerland, and my boyfriend and I love the ski season. So then I got to get out the leggings, cigarette pants and snow boots. But still no jeans... they make me sad, I look down the street and every person is wearing jeans... so sad. So I put on a black skirt, boots a bright red coat and a fluffy handbag and look an extra brat. But I don't care, I feel prettier. You can never be overdressed.

To wear nice knee high or over the knee boots! Lol. Naw it’s not as bad as you would guess it. if it’s part of our fashion likes we are going to wear it. Since as far back as i can remember, I’ve always worn various length skirts in the winter because I like them and as long as my top half is warm, that’s all that is necessary, legs don’t get that cold.

A few years ago it was very cold here and I was walking to work in the morning while wearing sweat pants. It's a 7:00 long walk. I got half a block from the place and I just about gave up and just laid in the snow and froze to death because the wind was whipping right through my pants and made me feel like I was naked!! And I don't even wear a sweater unless it's below 40! Yesterday, it was on the low 30's and I was just wearing a short-sleeved shirt and pants outside all day!

I wear my shirts with two buttons undone and I realized, subconsciously I like it when girls look at my pecs.
