I was teaching at a local college and I really liked it. It is a state college so there is a pension if you stay for at least ten years. I had planned on making it my career but covid screwed it all up.

I am supposedly still employed there but enrollments are down and the classes I was supposed to teach did not have enough students.

Are they willing to have you look at another course and are you still open to watching if something opens up, will you try again?

I am signed up to teach during the summer if there are enough students. I took an online course about teaching online courses last summer and have a certification in it. I did not like doing it but I will if I have to.

I'm in a job I've been at for 12 years, and financially speaking, should stay at until I retire (doubt anything better will come in my case), but will I make it? lol
