Do you see yourself working in your current career field until retirement? Why or why not?

Absolutely, because it's what I've wanted to do since I was 8 years old and so far, it hasn't disappointed me. I can honestly say I love going to work. Sure, I have not so good days but it has nothing to do with the job itself or the people I work with, It's usually me overanalyzing things and beating myself up.

No I don't. While I really like this job, it's not in my field of study where I received my Masters degree. I received my Masters in Library Science and would like to return to working in a library. I currently work for an insurance company. There's growth but I don't plan on moving up in customer service.

@thelovelywoman Yes, I do. The dept. offers a good 401K, and a generous retirement plan, and albeit, the drive to work is long, it is very scenic and adds to my day.

Yes, I am still working full-time but I am 70 years old and there is absolutely no reason for me to contemplate a career change with very few work years remaining.

At least in the United States you have a culture that accepts career breakouts and changes. Here that's in most cases quite more difficult.

Yup. I'm retiring in 5 years. I'm a remote worker and my company has mostly phased out remote work. Plus got a promotion last November and my supervisor asked me to stay in the position for 2-3 years. So where I am is where I am.
