Is there a job/career field that you think you would do well in, but don't actually see yourself pursuing?

My whole life, people have told me what a great writer/storyteller I am -- my family, teachers, etc. And I probably could be a great writer if I really wanted to hone my skills, but there's just a huge lack of interest for me. I find writing (and sometimes even reading) to be really mundane and it doesn't give me a whole lot of satisfaction.
So, for that reason, even though I think I could do well in some sort of writing career, I probably will never become a full-fledged writer.

I'm often fascinated with infrastructures but, at this point in my life, I don't see myself returning to a university for a new term taking up Engineering and/or Architecture courses. I'll probably hugely fund a worthwhile project that'll the community.

I've always wanted to run for public office and serve the community but too much dirty politics discourages me every now and then. However, I still intend to pursue this ambition. Timing is key here.

I chose the Hollywood Entertainment Business and did okay in it. Not everyone can be a star. I thought about writing screen plays but never got around to it. Half the movies I imagined writing a screen play for were actually produced before I could even put a pen to paper. I never thought I would be where I am at and have no idea what I could have done differently.

But I definitely agree that you're a talented writer. I don't think I've ever seen you make a usage or grammatical mistake in your writing here on GaG.

i agree you would be a good writer. I’ve been told i’d be a really good lawyer several times but i just don’t think i’d want to do something like that.

Apparently I've been told I'd be a good teacher or nurse-

Yeah, I could, but refuse to. Both careers are terribly underpaid and underappreciated considering the hell they go through. I currently work in the medical field without directly dealing with patients and too many annoying people each day, while still teaching others as/if need be and feeling somewhat appreciated for it.

People tell me that I’d be a great therapist because my life has been nothing but a series of traumatic events and I apparently give great advice for dealing with trauma and PTSD lmao. Respectfully, I have dealt with so much and I don’t want to deal with strangers trauma’s on top of my own. I just want to be happy 🥲.

I have been in Logistics for decades... and I have avoided contracting like the black death.

But actually, there are a lot of great opportunities in contracting... but the job sucks. I would probably be good at it... but it sucks.

I think I would make an amazing tutor but it’s so easy that I don’t want to do it - I feel I don’t deserve to be paid if I do a job that’s easier than eating a potato chip
