I wonder if Covid gave everyone an excuse for not doing their job.
Is service getting worse?

It's not that they aren't doing their job, people aren't going back to work. I almost got hired by my mechanic just having small engine repair experience because he's fucking desperate for workers. I'm wanting to go back to work since daycare options are opening up now, and my work options are vastly different then they were before.
How else do you explain a recession and job openings everywhere at the same time. Anyway, if they don't get back to me quick I'm going to work in Vegas again, whatever their needs are I want to make some cash during the summer. When a recession is at its worst is a good time to put money in literally anything that hasn't crashed by then, property, stocks, whatever. I need to pull out my retirement accounts, work my ass off, and keep that going until the bottom, then cash in, and coast :)
speed so far is good. other day I order chinese foo. lady said "10 minute!". That is standard chinese answer... always 10 minute!
But quality down. Chicken prices up, beef prices up up up. content changing.
very hard hard run restaurant, some going out of business. too difficult, I can't imagine running such enterprise now. add in higher minimum wage, all materials costs... how u make profit and manage all that? Not worth it.
God help us... we may be eating soilant green sooner than we think... isn't that what those "power bars" were anyways?
I really noticed a big difference trying to make an appointment for the doctor. Try to get through on the phone, and all you hear is music on hold for at least 20 or so minutes. The manager said she was finding the t very hard to find people just to answer the phones. Only 5 have applied. But I think he has way too many patients.
Then when I finally do get to see him, he gives me the bums rush - 6 minutes maybe. I feel like I'm on a tv game show "How fast can your doctor see you." 🙄
That's the way it is with doctors. they usually get 15 minutes per patient before they have to move on to the next because they are so overbooked.
The worst service is trying to see a doctor. That is if you can even get through to a real person.
I'm told it got way worse after the ACA here in Rural America, I was only a teen so didn't know much... but everyone says we used to be able to get into a doctor within a day or same day... ACA passed, doctors retired due to legal stuff, new ones not coming into field. Rural Hospitals shutting down, then add that more people have insurance.
The ACA did nothing to get more doctors into the field to help handle the extra people who would have insurance.
Now the nearest hospital is two hours a way for us, for an ER visit... and its a 4 week away to get into see a family doctor and 3 months for a specialist.
It is scary that anyone wants socialized medicine that would triple these wait times.

My car is on its last legs; over the last two months, I've needed to have it towed four ormfive times. Every time I call AAA, the wait is at least 90 minutes. Conveniently, after a long enough delay, they don't count it against your allotted tows, but I began to wonder if there was a reason it was taking so long. Yes, there was- they were swampeh, since they were understaffed.
Well then, perhaps we can help each other, I said- are you hiring? Yes! Yes, they are. So I applied- I don't have all the knowledge I need yet, but I can learn, and I *do* have the CDL. And then... nothing. Even the problem fixing is taking forever. The CPAP recall is still going on; my machine is slowly killing me while I wait for Philps to fix it, twelve months in.
Firstly, phones are not the way to go these days. Secondly, Socialism is taking the drive out of people and Nation.
My car dealership still has good customer service. They're awesome. Really good people there.
I don’t go out to eat, never will… but I will say seeing a new doctor takes forever, thankfully I was seen by a current family doctor or else I’d still be on the waitlist for the other.
Covid made Americans even more lazy than they were before!!
100% noticed the same thing.
I notice hold times have increased.
