If a coworker fights you at work, will defending yourself get you fired still?

If she was taken of the schedule and still clocking in I'm pretty sure that's enough to hey her fired. As for weather or not you could be fired for intervening in a possible fight it all depends on how that fight goes.
Well I don’t hit people unless they hit me. The girl has her targets on a few people possibly myself included. The nurses are afraid of her so they always have me relaying messages to her. She’s extremely ghetto and loud and I’m not gonna hit someone who doesn’t hit me first. She’s extremely aggressive and we hung out outside of a work a few times.. always trying to fight people. She’s upset with me because I did not want to do her class for court because of her embezzlement felony that basically is why she’s not licensed to practice. I can just feel she’s gonna get violent. She’s not today because I’m not working today and management isn’t there on Sundays but tomorrow? There’s gonna be a whole situation and my gut is typically always right about these things.
I just don’t want to be fired for defending myself or other staff.
