Do you contribute $10 to a staff member who is leaving?

We have a staff member who is leaving tomorrow.
I've been away in another state on vacation from last Thurs to Monday.
I got told the girl is leaving on Saturday and that there is a shared lunch & to contribute $10 for a gift.
I came back a few hours ago & I've not had time to do anything.
I'll buy something from the bakery for lunch but I don't really want to pay $10 for the gift as I've just been spending on my vacation.
Have you said no to not contributing $ for a staff member?

Keep the $10 in your wallet. Shake the staff member's hand, then say goodbye and wish them good luck in their new job.

Yeah I've said no before. I wouldn't do it unless it's someone i really got on with.
