IIf I got hired for a sales position does it mean the managers think I can get people to buy stuff?

Introverts can be very successful in sales. Stop thinking that sales is the back slapping , glad handing , loud mouth with white shoes and a cowboy hat entertaining assholes at a strip club. There are sales jobs where introverts can excel. You don't have to be anybody's friend or buddy to be a great salesman. People (customers) have needs. They need help in articulating those needs properly. Customers don't understand the marketplace, the application of the product and how to use the product for the greatest value. Your job is really one of a consultant. When customers see you are a valued partner in their process of acquiring capital equipment and deploying those assets, nobody and I mean nobody will give a shit that you are an introvert. I speak from experience as a highly successful salesman in the tech sector and I am an introvert who cannot stand being around people. It never mattered. customers sought me out and valued my counsel.

I do. They told me what I will be expected to do and its not difficult I just have to be intellugent and use that to help customers and ask questions so I can help them get what they really need. If anything this is a goos chance for me to learn and get comfortable extracting infomation out of others in a simple conversational format. I am very quiet and dont know how to just ask quesitons. But this will help.

Its where people buy things they need but i can also try to sell thm extras. Its not like i am trying to sell them makeup or something they dont even need.

Haha i hope so. It is selling stuff that people need but they encourage you to try to sell them extras i think. So its not a typical sales position but its still sales.
